THE COCOA CRUSADER

39 min

Synopsis

Investigative journalist Regina Leke tries to find out who to blame for the increasing expansion of cocoa farms into gorilla habitat. As she chases the cocoa she finds herself spiraling down the complex and convoluted web of twenty-first century cash crops. She meets small scale farmers, cocoa buyers, exporters, plantation owners, yet does not know where to point her finger. No one seems to be clearly responsible...
